Underwater discovery off the Isle of Wight pushes back farming and trading history in Britain and Europe.
- An underwater site off Boulder Cliff, just off the Isle of Wight in the English Channel has thrown up some surprises for archaeologists.
- The site is known to been used by a group of hunter-gatherers who may also have built boats
- Scientists think that the hunter-gatherers at the site obtained the wheat from mainland Europe possibly by trade, as a gift, or possible even stole it.
- Possibly early trade networks between Britain and mainland Europe are being underestimated.
